About the vampire diaries: why was Katherine a doppelganger even before Elena was born.?

We don't know whether Katherine was the first doppelganger or not, all we know is that she was the Petrova doppelganger, and since she became a vampire, Klaus had to wait for the next Petrova doppelganger, which is Elena, there may or may not have been another doppelganger before Katherine, but Katherine is definitely not the original Petrova, but in this article I read here: http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/鈥?/a> Nina Dobrev who plays Elena, said she is more than willing to play another character on TVD, and that it would be interesting playing the original Petrova, I think it would be pretty cool if they showed the original Petrova, why it is that you need her doppelganger to break the curse, I hate that they haven't told us yet.



I %26lt;3 TVD! :)|||ok i think that katherine was also a doppledanger herself to someone else before her ..that is why she was introduced to klaus so he could do the same ritural with her like he did with elena. the curse was put on klaus long before katherine was ever born with an original human that would end up having the same bloodline as katherine and elena..so at that time in history he needed katherine to break the curse but she got smart and well turned herself into a vampire.. and now in the present time elena is a doppledanger to katherine, and as you can see the curse was lifted and now its gonna be crazy with a hybrid around..|||Katherine wasn't the doppelganger, Elena was because she was born centuries after Katherine.





Katherine was the original human needed to break Klaus's curse for what ever reason. Remember? Katherine had a baby. So centuries later when Elena was born a descendant of Katherine, she had the same blood. So Elena was the doppelganger.





A doppelganger is the mythical happening when someone is born, and then someone somewhere else in the world is born and looks EXACTLY like them.





The 'original' which in this case is Katherine, is not the doppelganger. Elena was born AFTER Katherine, so Elena IS the doppelganger.





I hope that made sense :S|||Katherine was a the doppelganger of someone else, and you can tell because in the episode "Klaus", Elijah said (in the flashbacks) that Katherine reminded him of someone. That someone is the original Petrova person who was sacrificed to seal Klaus' werewolf curse thing.


Since Katherine became a vampire, the next doppelganger was Elena, and he used her blood to break the curse.|||yeah she was a doppelganger before elena was born

Can a doppelganger manifest as your spiritual twin or alter ego even the physical appearance is different?

i know they are usually referred to as your evil identical twin, but i was wondering if the term can be applied to your identical personality in another human being.|||I've never heard this term applied within the social sciences. According to popular usage, though, I don't think that this would be a correct usage of the word. I suspect that in context you could use this word to get people to understand what you mean, despite the fact that the word is usually used to refer to physical doubles.





Then again, good luck finding someone with an identical personality. I heard somewhere that we're all snowflakes. ;-)|||I met my doppelganger at a Dead show in the early 80's... or something...|||yes|||It can happen . It's not two physical people but one person with multiply personalities. Doppelganger dream about my boyfriend?

Last night i had a dream about this guy, who i ended up realizing was a doppelganger version of my boyfriend. They mirrored each other in every way from looks to family life to personality. I have read on doppelgangers and I take it that this guy I dreamed about is the "evil" version of my boyfriend. But, what eventually happened in my dream, was that we fell in love with eachother. Personally, I find it WEIRD.|||I've gotten told I look like Taylor Momsen a lot. But I don't think I do. She's a scrawny little twig and I am not lol. Albeit, she is a scrawny little twig with a VERY nice wardrobe! I personally think I look more like Holly Willoughby.
